This 5 MVA Vacuum Impregnated Transformer was delivered to Canada in 2016. the rated power of the transformer is 5000 KVA. the primary voltage of the transformer is 24.94 KV and secondary voltage is 4.16 KV. This is VPI transformers, is a new concept of dry type transformers, the transformer coils are vacuum pressure impregnated in high temperature polyester vanish under vacuum and pressure, the coils can be made of copper or aluminum, the insulation is made of high grade nonflammable materials, the insulations class can be F, H or C class, suitable for different requirements. Our 5 MVA Dry Type Transformer was designed with advanced technology and adopts high quality material and components which result in reliable quality and long operation time.

What is VPI process?

Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (V.P.I) is a process by which a fully wound electric apparatus stator or rotor is completely submerged in a Resin. Through a combination of dry and wet vacuum and pressure cycles, the resin is assimilated throughout the insulation system.

What is the difference between dry type transformer and oil?
